Link's Return

Link sat by the Ordon spring. He watched as the fairies floated about the small pool of water. He was tired from the fights and obstacles he had to go through to save the kingdom of Hyrule. It was nice to be able to sit back and relax for once. But something wasn’t quite right he was missing something ever since he left Ordon he has been having a pain in his chest.

Just then something grabbed him from behind, it was just his best friend Ilia.

“Ilia what are you doing here?”

“I don’t know. Maybe I came for a walk or I just wanted to see you.”

“But how did you know I was here?”

“That I don’t know.”

“Oh, well it is good to see you.”

He wrapped his arms around her. The hole in his chest was gone. God, I want to tell her how I really feel thought Link. I wish I could tell Link how I really feel right now thought Ilia.

“Oh no”

“What’s the matter Ilia?”

The sun was starting to rise.

“I have to get home right now. Bye.”

“Bye”

That whole day he felt guilty about not telling Ilia how he felt. So that afternoon he decided to go see Ilia to tell her how he felt.

• knock knock *

“Hello”

“Hey Bo it’s me Link”

“Link its good to have you back home!” Bo exclaimed. He pulled the boy into a bear hug that only a Goron could get out of without injury.

“Good to see you to Bo, is Ilia around I need to talk to her.”

“Uh, yeah I’ll get her…ILIA!

“I’m coming I’m com- Oh hi Link.”

“Hi…can I talk to you at the spring.”

“Uh yeah but why the spring?”

“You’ll see”

“Ok”

The whole way there Ilia was thinking of what Link was going to say to her. When they got there Link sat down and beckoned her to sit next to him, and she did.

“Ilia the reason why I took you here is because I……
w-w-w-wanted to tell you how I feel about you.”

“Really?”

”Yeah. I…uh…um I l-l-like you Ilia.”

“No offence and not to sound rude or anything but why bring me here to tell me that?”

“Because this is where we first met and I kind of wanted to have either my first date or first kiss here”

“I think you got both”

She was moving closer to Link and he just kissed her. He quickly pulled away because he had never kissed a girl before and he wished he hadn’t pulled away, so he leaned in for another but Ilia turned her head.

“Ilia what is wrong?”

She ran from him. They haven’t talk for a few weeks and the hole in his chest is back. One day when he was walking he was about to pass the spring when he heard Beth and Ilia talking, he had hid in a bush.

“Beth the reason why I ran from him that night is because sooner or later he will realize that I’m not the one he is looking for.”

“Ilia did he tell you how he feels about you?”

“Yes and then he kissed me he broke apart very fast but then he leaned in again and that’s when I ran”

Link fell out of the bushes.

“Ilia I think you have someone following you.”

She turned to find Link standing there. Beth had slipped away.

“How much did you hear?”

“Enough, but I can’t believe you thought I would leave you?”

“Well before-“

“Ilia this is now stop living in the past because Ilia when I’m away from you I have this pain in my chest. Ilia can’t you see that…I’m in love with you.’’
